1. TALK TO US. We are here to make your appointments as comfortable as possible. We want to know about your concerns so that we can talk things through with you. We never want anyone to be fearful of any procedure. You are in great hands!
2. LISTEN TO MUSIC. Do the sounds of the tools and suction bother you? Bring some headphones and relax to your favorite tunes! We don’t mind, as long as it is low enough that you can still communicate with us.
3. HOLD SOMETHING. Kids may be comforted by their favorite stuffed animal. For adults, a good stress ball may do the trick!
4. FOCUS ON BREATHING. Remember to breathe normally! When we are fearful, we tend to hold our breath. It is important to focus on your breathing so that you do not upset yourself or further increase any negative feelings you may have.
